After Daniel Craig's four-movie contract came to an end with the release of the 2015 blockbuster "Spectre," the actor said that he was over with the role and that he'd rather "slash his wrists" than sign up for reprising the role for the fifth time.

While there are still no confirmations as to whether Craig will give up the suit as James Bond or not, bets have already been placed, as James Norton could possibly be next in line to replace the actor as the next James Bond.

"Daniel thinks of himself as a 'serious actor,' and he wants to stretch his artistic muscles. And Barbara really believes in his talent. For her to do this [play] for him is a gift - of course she wants him back - this is going to entice him to make another Bond movie," The Week reported.

Aside from Norton, there are other celebrities pegged for the role. One of which is Irish actor Aidan Turner, who is best known for his role as Ross Poldark in BBC's drama "Poldark." Tom Hardy, known for his roles in "Mad Max," "This Means War" and "Inception," is also part of the list.

Another celebrity on the list is Jack Huston, who is known for his roles in "Boardwalk Empire" and "Kill Your Darlings." He was born in London and grew up in a family of actors.

Idris Elba is also in the running for the next James Bond. He was known for his role in BBC's "Luther." The actor is revealed to be favored by both fans and Sony executives as well. The London-born star definitely has the charm and the charisma, in which, coined him as the "Dream Bond."

Because of his role as a spy in "The Night Manager," Tom Hiddleston is also one of the celebrities to consider. According to The Wrap, the actor could be another Brosnan-esque Bond. He said to have the suave grace and smile of Pierce Brosnan.

British Theatre actor Tom Hughes has impressed Barbara Brocolli and considered him as one of the list to be the next agent 007. It was said that Hughes caught the producer's attention when he was playing as an MI5 operative in BBC's Cold War thriller "The Game."
