The launch of the smartwatch will be done simultaneously with the launch of the Oppo Find 9 smartphone. This report is from anonymous Oppo insiders, according to Phone Arena.

There remain some questions about the new smartwatch, such as the "configuration" (specs) of the Oppo watch, and whether it will run the Android Wear operating system, according to Digital Trends.

The operating system of the smartphone will be particularly interesting. Oppo's smartphones uses Color OS, which is actually a hybrid of the  Android OS.

However, the reported lighting-fast recharging time would make it irrelevant whether the smartwatch would need to be recharged after one or two days. You could get it done in the time needed to brush your teeth!

The real question is this: can Oppo actually manufacture a smartwatch that charges in five minutes? It's not a one-in-a-million possibility, since a full charge on its N3 and Find 7 smartphones can be done in an hour.

Consider that most smartwatches have about 10% of the milliampere hour capacity of most of today's smartphones. Still, charging your smartphone to even 70% capacity in five minutes would still be impressive.

There are no official reports about when the Oppo smartwatch would be available on the market. However, according to anonymous reports, it will be sold soon and likely this year.

The new Oppo smartwatch would be amazing if it can charge fully or almost fully, in five minutes. It would put the "smart" in smartwatch.
