"Thor: Ragnarok" plot

The PG-13 "Thor: Ragnarok" will be based on the "Planet Hulk" comics, JoBlo reported. With Mark Ruffalo reprising his role as Bruce Banner/Hulk, the movie teases a big clash between Hulk and Thor. Their big battle is said to be one of the highlights of the film and will take place in a gladiator-like battle.

To tease more about the "Thor: Ragnarok" plot, director Taika Waititi introduced an actor named Steve, which many fans believe will play Miek who is a key figure in the "Planet Hulk" arc.

"Thor: Ragnarok" cast

Original cast members Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Jaimie Alexander and Anthony Hopkins are all reprising their respective roles.

According to Movie Pilot, Cate Blanchett will make her Marvel debut as Hela, the Goddess of Death. She's expected to be the main antagonist in "Thor: Ragnarok" with her massive army of the undead. Theory also has it that Blanchett's Hela may have the Soul Stone, which is the remaining Infinity Stone that is yet to be unveiled in the MCU. One of the plot leaks suggests that Thor, Hulk and Valkyrie will team up to find the Soul Stone in order to defeat Loki and Hela.

"Thor: Ragnarok" also reunites "Jurassic Park" alums Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill. Goldblum will play The Grandmaster, one of the Elders of the Universe. Neill's character, on the other hand, remains a closely-guarded secret. Also joining the cast are Karl Urban as Skurge and Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie.
