Fairy Tail has gone deeper into the Alvarez Empire arc with plenty of battles left. For now, the spotlight is undoubtedly on the Daughter-Monther showdown between Erza Scarlet and Irene Belserion, who has taken the upper hand in the fight after completing the enchantment that would enable her to possess Wendy's body.
With Irene's enchantment magic proving to be formidable, it's up for Erza to raise the ante if she wants to win the battle against her mother and subsequently save Wendy. The question now is will the circumstances force her to achieve a higher form? This is just one of five pressing questions only the next chapter can answer.
Will Erza discover new power in fight vs. Wendy Belserion?
Erza has always been an excellent magic user when it comes to spatial, sword and even telekinesis. The requip magic allows her to battle opponents in different kind of situations. Unfortunately, I don't think her Knight Form (Nakagami Armor or Farewell Fairy Tail Armor) will be enough to beat Irene, especially now that she's in full control of Wendy, a dragon slayer and spellcaster.
In order to beat Irene, Erza has to achieve a new form that would allow her to surpass Irene's power. Then again, there's also the possibility she will exhibit the frightening amount of magic power she had when she battled the three historia of her past. After all, she is the daughter of a powerful magic user.
Will Natsu find a way to stop the demon seed from fusing with dragon seed?
In Chapter 516, Igneel revealed that he managed to stop Natsu from turning into a full-fledged dragon by preventing the dragon seed from maturing. Unfortunately, he also revealed the reason behind Natsu's suffering. He thinks it has something to do with the devil seed implanted by Zeref upon his revival as END.
The question here is if there's a way to reverse the evolution and prevent Natsu from dying. Yes, he was reborn all for the purpose of ending Zeref's life, but there's got to be a way for him to stay alive at the end of Fairy Tail. Apparently, only Zeref knows the answer.
Will Acnologia finally make a move?
It's the most important question in the current Fairy Tail story. With so many Dragon Slayers around, Acnologia should definitely appear at some point. The Black Dragon has always been a game-changer because of his massive power. It will be interesting in the preceding chapter how things will turn out, especially with Acnologia arriving in the battlefield.
