Several tech portals that have reviewed the Apple Watch 2 have stated that many apps are slow to open. Also, it lags when it is refreshed.

Even though latest information suggest that Apple Watch 3 will deliver improved battery life, its second-generation model can last for two to three days by charging it once. The device has been designed to charge overnight. Hence, its battery performance has never been a major issue.

Readers are advised to take the rumor with a pinch of salt. Since there is a lot of demand for iPhones, plenty of leaked information surface before its release. However, Apple Watch draws less attention and there is less chance for its leaked information to surface from supply chain, 9 to 5 Mac reported.

The Chinese publication has stated that the Redmond giant would continue to use the current design for Apple Watch 3. Hence, early rumors hint that there won't be any overhaul improvements to the design of Apple Watch 3.

The iPhone 8 / 7S is expected to get announced in September 2017. Since the Apple Watch 3 is now rumored to get announced in the third quarter of this year, it is likely that the next-generation Apple Watch would be unveiled alongside the upcoming Apple smartphones in September.

Smartwatch business is growing at a slow pace. Still, the Cupertino company has managed to sell 7.5 million Apple Watch 2 units in the previous year. Hence, it is likely that the company may announce Watch 2 successor later this year.

Previous rumors have stated Apple will be adding cellular connectivity feature to next generation Watch. It is also expected to arrive with a new micro-LED screen that is slimmer and lighter than the screen of Apple Watch 2.
