Game developer Bioware has declared that "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will launch on March 21 and March 23 in North America and Europe respectively. The game will arrive on all the three major platforms including Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.

"Andromeda" was first announced at E3 2015 event and is the fourth main release in the "Mass Effect" series. It will kick off a new storyline set 600 years after the events of the first trilogy which climaxed with "Mass Effect 3" back in 2012, according to Game spot.

While things remained relatively quiet after E3 2015, Bioware has been providing several glimpses at role-playing sci-fi Epic. These hints have been slowly revealing what the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" world looks like along with what gamers will be exploring in space.

Another "Mass Effect: Andromeda" footage that aired during the NVidia Keynote at CES 2017 this week revealed more about the gameplay. It gave a brief look into a loyalty mission for Peebee along with the new profile system that enables players to change their class in real time.

In addition to featuring a new storyline, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" has led Bioware to shift to Frostbite, a new game engine used to power EA-published games like "Star Wars: Battlefront," and "Battlefield 1." According to The Verge, the game is the most ambitious "Mass Effect" title ever announced.

It is also the first game in the franchise to unveil on current-generation gaming consoles and the very first major release by publisher Electronic Arts' this year.  "Andromeda" seems to be something of a relaunch for the "Mass Effect" franchise and hence its success or failure will determine the future of the brand.

In the meantime, fans can also wait for other releases after "Mass Effect: Andromeda's" launch like "Nexus Uprising" by K.C. Alexander and Jason M. Hough on March 28. Here is the official CES 2017 trailer of the game:
