Abbie Mills is dead and we have a new female lead character named Agent Diana Thomas, played by Janina Gavankar.
The actress talked ET Online and she mentioned that even though Abbie is not around but she will be a part of the show in some way.
Gavankar shared about her character. "My eyes kind of got big because my brother-in-law is a former Marine who works in counter-terrorism for the Treasury and is a father. My favorite fantasy/sci-fi shows, the reason they're so good is they're rooted in humanity. Being able to play a character that was so close to home was really exciting to me and also grounds the entire experience," Gavankar said.
She added that she carefully studied Diana and even "nerd out" with her brother-in-law and build a complete backstory of her character. It will be interesting to see this new female lead interacting with existing characters.
