While speaking with The Huffington Post, Graham admitted that it still has not sunk in yet that "The Vampire Diaries" is ending after eight seasons and that she will also be saying goodbye to her character, Bonnie Bennett. The actress added that for the longest time, she has not been free during February and March because this is their typical filming schedule.
"But it has not hit me that eight years of a TV show is coming to an end and that I am not going back to it... I have not known a free February or March in eight years," she said.
Meanwhile, Graham also credits most of the things she learned about the industry and herself for being in "The Vampire Diaries" for so long. She admitted that she did not have any idea who she was before she joined the hit The CW series.
More specifically, Bonnie also helped Graham realize the kind of woman that she is and that she can be. The resident witch of Mystic Falls is a tough and smart woman who does not easily back down when faced with challenges. She is also very family-oriented and loves her friends dearly.
In other news, executive producer Julie Plec recently hinted on the possibility of at least one character dying before the finale episode. Fans started speculating that it could be Bonnie. Not only has the character gone through so much; she is also the one that does not have any immediate family around anymore.
If Bonnie will be killed off, it is also possible that this will be done before Nina Dobrev returns to reprise her role as Elena Gilbert. The actress' has not yet filmed for her upcoming scenes in the show.
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 will return to The CW on Jan. 13 at 8 p.m. EST.
