Girls' Generation's Sooyoung and her boyfriend Jung Kyung Ho have managed to maintain a very private and quiet relationship despite the prying eyes of the public and the paparazzi. They have been dating for over four years now, and their relationship is only growing sweeter and stronger. Sooyoung gave a brief update on his relationship on TV.
On the Jan. 4 broadcast of JTBC variety show "Let's Eat Dinner Together," host Kang Ho Dong ambushed Sooyoung with a question about her love life. For a while, Sooyoung tried to dodge the question and refused to say anything about her relationship with Jung Kyung Ho. After a lot of convincing, Kang Ho Dong managed to get an answer from Sooyoung who said, "I'm happy," Koreaboo reported. It may not be much, but it says a lot about Sooyoung and Jung Kyung Ho's relationship.
Sooyoung and Jung Kyung Ho do not speak much about their relationship when they appear on shows and interviews. In the rare chance that they do, they also manage to show how sweet and affectionate they are towards one another.
During an appearance on MBC's "I Live Alone," Jung Kyung Ho revealed that he previously listened to other K-Pop artists. However, thing's changed when he started dating Sooyoung. "After Girls' Generation's [Sooyoung and I started dating], I don't listen to any other songs," he jokingly admitted, Soompi quoted.
Sooyoung and Jung Kyung Ho were reportedly dating as early as February 2013. However, their relationship was only confirmed in January 2014. Media outlet Sports Seoul broke the news about their dating status and revealed images of them going on secret dates.
SM Entertainment, Sooyoung's agency, confirmed the relationship in statement. "While they were close as sunbae and hoobae last year, their relationship progressed into that of a couple... Please watch over them fondly," the agency said.
Sooyoung and Jung Kyung Ho were reportedly introduced by a mutual friend in 2012 and began dating early in 2013, around the time Jung Kyung Ho was nearing the completion of his military service. Sources close to the couple said that they enjoy movie and car, and share a lot of the same interests. They also went to the same school and practice the same religion.
