Rumors are rife that Filipino singer and actor James Reid will be performing in the upcoming Miss Universe 2016.
The rumor started after a video of the previous pageant's opening manager laced over with James Reid song for one of his commercials. The song fit perfectly with the production that some people poked fun on the possible performers for the pageant.
Miss Universe Organization has kept the details of the upcoming pageant under wraps. Until now, the organizers have not released a concrete list of the performers at the pageant. However, there are rumors that Bamboo, Sarah Geronimo, and Jed Madela will be performing at the most prestigious beauty contest. The main performer will be international singer Bruno Mars.
Meanwhile, Broadway singer-actress and judge of The Voice Philippines Lea Salonga denied reports that she will be performing in the 65th Miss Universe pageant. Rumor has it that the Voice Philippines judges and coaches Lea Salonga, Sarah Geronimo, and Bamboo are rumored to perform at the coronation of the Miss Universe 2016 on January 30.
Department of Tourism Undersecretary Kat de Castro teased on some of the performers at the forthcoming pageant. In a press briefing, the DOT Undersecretary revealed that it is possible for Kapamilya stars Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo, Lea Salonga as well as Jed Madela to perform in the event.
If rumors proved to be true, The Voice Philippines coaches plus Jed Madela will join international singer Bruno Mars who is also known to have Filipino blood. It may be recalled that DOT Secretary Wanda Teo previously refused to comment on rumors that Fil-American star Bruno Mars will be performing on the show.
