"Final Fantasy VII Remake" and "Kingdom Hearts III" director Tetsuya Nomura revealed that the two video games still have a long ways to go. He also revealed what they think of a complete package of the "Kingdom Hearts" games.

On the official Japanese blog of Hachima Kikou, a leaked issue of the Weekly Famitsu Japanese magazine was revealed, and it particularly focused on the interview with Nomura. The director of the two upcoming video games told the magazine that he thinks that these games still have a long way to go before it gets completed.

Nomura said that the game company will be releasing "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue" in January. They will also have an exhibit of a "Final Fantasy VII" snow sculpture at the Sapporo Snow Festival next month. Other games from the "Kingdom Hearts" franchise like HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix will be released in March, and they will also start the "Kingdom Hearts" orchestra world tour at that time.

The development team might do something for the D23 Disney event prepared for the fans of the game series. They are also preparing for the start of "Kingdom Hearts Unchained X Season 2."

Nomura revealed that production of the third sequel of the "Kingdom Hearts" video game franchise is still progressing. He said that there are still world that are left untouched, progress is still ongoing, and these worlds are still in a state that they cannot show off to the world. The state of development has still some ways to go.

For the remake of "Final Fantasy VII," the production is steadily progressing, Nomura said. He apologized to the fans that the delay will be longer for both video games. He did assure that he and his team will make it these games that will meet their expectations.

Nomura said that the game company will not release anything like a complete pack this time around due to the delicate timing. However, they are preparing a box that can hold all of the video games, and they might offer it as an e-Store bonus.

A member on the official website of Reddit wrote that a 2018 release is not possible anymore at this point with the latest news. Some members have predicted that "Kingdom Hearts III" will not be released this year due to 2.8's delay in the past.
