The latest details for "Final Fantasy XV" will feature the release date of the "Moogle Chocobo Carnival" and a new expansion for the game.
It seems that Square Enix will be working on a new expansion for "Final Fantasy XV" for their post-launch plans as game director Hajime Tabata told Famitsu (via Famitsu) that they are working on something "awesome" to the sequel's storyline.
This comes as an addition information to Square Enix plans to "evolve" the current game with slight changes to the game’s story, including reworking "FFXV's" 13th chapter, and the previously detailed Season Pass episodes. Now Tabata is describing currently planned updates and DLC as laying a foundation for future initiatives and it seems as if Square Enix is escalating their post-launch content plans every time it is brought up.
Tabata stated before that the post-2017 plans for updates and DLCs for "Final Fantasy XV" is his way of "giving back" to the gaming fans who have supported the "FFXV" project and now gaming fans will have something to look forward to in the sequel within this year.
In other news, Square Enix announced the release date of the "Moogle Chocobo Carnival" event on Jan. 24 as part of the "Holiday Pack+" event in "Final Fantasy XV". The carnival will take place in Altissia and it is not clear at this point how long the festival will last, though Square Enix did specify that the "Moogle Chocobo Carnival" would only run “for a limited time” in the game.
Still gamers will likely expect some bonus items, quests, hunts and mini-games that related to the "Moogle Chocobo Carnival", IDigital Times reported.
Previous reports revealed that Niflheim will likely be featured in episode Prompto as a new map to explore. Square Enix will be adding new chapters in "Final Fantasy XV" storyline focusing on Noctis allies/friends Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto.
The speculated Niflheim map will likely happen in Prompto's chapter during the game's main story were in Noctis, Gladio, and Ignis went on to search for Prompto after he fell off the train while on Niflheim territory.
Episode Prompto DLC might explore Prompto's time when he was left alone to survive throughout the enemy terrain and explore more of his past. as Prompto’s backstory is related to Niflheim, were he is once a guinea pig of the Empire and managed to escape their facility.
The first DLC storyine, Episode Gladiolus will have players explore his side of the story as the latter will face a new boss Gilgamesh.
In addition, new playable characters were teased in "Final Fantasy XV's" DLC such as Lunafreya Nox Flueret, Iris Amicita, Aranea Highwind and Cor Leonis.
"Final Fantasy XV" is currently available for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
