Conor McGregor has been away from the fighting world and the Ultimate Fighting Championship for two months now but news about him continue to spread in the internet. Recently, Floyd Mayweather added fire to his feud with the Irish fighter after claiming that he offered McGregor $15 million to fight in a boxing match.

In an appearance on ESPN's First Take with Stephen A. Smith, 'Money' challenged McGregor and the UFC to make the fight happen between him and the reigning UFC lightweight champion, ESPN.com reported. Previously, McGregor demanded a $100 million purse to be in a boxing match with Mayweather but the former boxing pound-for-pound king offered him $15 million and a cut of the pay per view earnings.

Mayweather lived up to his moniker and said that he will only fight for $100 million and threw a little jab at McGregor, saying that the Irish mixed martial artist talks about getting paid $100 million when he still has not made $8 or $9 million in a fight. In his recent fight on Nov. 12, 2016, McGregor took home a $3 million payday against Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 for the lightweight belt while Mayweather earned roughly $200 million against Manny Pacquiao in 2015 excluded the pay per view earnings.

However, Mayweather may have hinted that he will not come back from his retirement by saying that he already had his career, Mail Online reported. The 39-year-old boxing legend added that people who want him to come back in the fighting scene are not thinking of his health and his family. He said that he is focused on helping young boxers to realize their dreams and guide his children to be the best people they can be.

It would be long before McGregor takes the Octagon again as he is taking a hiatus to attend to his wife who will be giving birth to their first child.
