"Star Wars'" original cast member Carrie Fisher thinks "The Force Awakens" might be "cursed," according to a report. The statement from the 58-year-old actress comes as a reaction to the tragic accident suffered by her co-star Harrison Ford in a recent plane crash.

Citing the report by Britain Mail's on Sunday newspaper, Toronto Sun states the actress herself "narrowly escaped" being injured in a car accident that occurred just few day before Ford's plane crash. The publication notes that Ford injured his pelvis and ankle after the plane crashed on golf course in California as a result of engine failure.

Speaking to the UK Mail, Fisher, who will be reprising the role of Princess Leia in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," said that "things happen in threes." She is seemingly concerned about the other co-star and "Star Wars" original cast member Mark Hamill. Fisher admitted to believe "there's curse going on." She further described the accident she met last week during heavy rainfall in LA.

Fisher assured that the accident was minor and she did not suffer any injuries. However, it was the first ever car accident she suffered. "I'm a bit worried it's the curse of Star Wars," the actress added. She even revealed that the accident occurred because the car's wheel came off. Her assistant told her that the things could have been a lot worse if it happened on the highway.

As for Ford, this is not the first time he was involved in an accident ever since he started filming "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." In June, Ford, who portrays the role of iconic character Han Solo, broke his leg on the set of the movie. According to BBC, a door came apart leaving the actor's leg injured. The "Indiana Jones" actor even underwent a surgery.

Meanwhile, investigation of Ford's vintage aircraft crash is being conducted. It has been found out that the pilot initiated a return briefly after the take off, according to ABC

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" hits the cinemas on Dec. 18.
