Middlesbrough's last win was back in the middle of last month after they thrashed bottom three squad Swansea City, 3-0, also at their home ground. From there, the Boro has only scored one goal in their last four matches without a win. They are currently in the 16th spot of the English top flight table, four points above 17th and 18th-place squads Crystal Palace and Hull City.

The Smoggies are coming off a 0-0 draw with reeling side Watford FC at the Vicarage Road last Saturday, as per BBC Sport.

Head coach Aitor Karanka's squad failed to score a goal for the second straight match as the team seemed to be having problems with their attacks as of late.

Meanwhile, West Ham United crushed lowly club Crystal Palace, 3-0, at their home pitch of London Stadium also last Saturday to snap a two-game losing skid, Goal reported.

After a goalless first half of play, Algerian striker Sofiane Feghouli opened the scoring with a goal in the 68th minute off an assist by English midfielder Michail Antonio.

A brilliant strike by forward Andy Carroll 11 minutes later doubled the Hammers' lead before Argentine midfielder Manuel Lanzini scored the hosts' third and final goal in the 86th minute with Antonio again providing the assist, completing their three-goal masterpiece.

It was the fourth win in the last six rounds for head coach Slaven Bilić's side as the team is now settled in the 12th place in the overall standings, nine points above the bottom three relegation area.
