Aside from the usual star-ridden cast, the movie "Furious 7" will also feature two Dodge muscle cars, the Charger and Challenger. The movie is the latest installment of "Fast and Furious" film franchise.
According to Detroit Free Press, the seventh installment of the well-loved street-racing franchise will feature a candy red variant of the 2015 Dodge Charger, a green and black version of the 2015 Dodge Challenger R/T and a fully armored 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.
The film was set to be released on Apr. 3. The film received tremendous publicity and hype because of the death of Paul Walker, one of the franchise's main casts, who died in a car crash on November 2013.
The film which also starts Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Vin Diesel will be produced by Universal Pictures and has an exclusive deal with Dodge. The partnership between Dodge and Universal includes marketing and advertising support for the car manufacturer.
The Dodge website has a dedicated page specifically for the movie and features pictures of some of the cars that will be used on the film. These include Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, Challenger SRT Hellcat, Charger 392 HEMI Scat Pack Shaker and Charger R/T Scat Pack.
FCA US, a company previously known as Chrysler has also signed in with Atlantic Records to release the films official soundtrack. Fiat Chrysler chief marketing officer Olivier Francois said in a statement, "For the first time, Dodge is broadening its longtime partnership with an innovative new Atlantic Records collaboration that truly expands the power and reach of the 'Fast & Furious' franchise and provides natural extension for showcasing Dodge's most powerful new performance vehicles to movie, music and car enthusiasts everywhere."
