Nicole Kidman's out-of-character behavior at the Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 8 attracted a lot of attention from the media. After the evening, rumors are rife that the "Lion" actress had too much alcohol before the award ceremony and was not totally in her senses.

The 49-year-old actress first raised eyebrows when she jumped in to interrupt fellow actor Tom Hiddlestone's red carpet interview just to insist that she was having a good time. She was also seen giggling hysterically in front of the camera.

"Sorry to crash," Kidman said "I'm so happy to be here and I'm determined to have fun. That's why I came here and did that."

Later in the evening, the actress is said to have displayed bizarre behavior consistently. She reportedly left some observers wondering whether she had had a few too many pre-show wines.

At the HBO after-party, Kidman appeared starved as she constantly ushered over the waitresses for more pizza while her rock star husband Keith Urban was seen brushing off crumbs off her Alexander McQueen gown, according to Woman's Day print magazine, as cited by Daily Mail. The Best Actress nominee reportedly avoided drinking and was said to have shooed away cocktail waitresses.

The actress's rep is yet to comment on the news. The report came a few days after Kidman created a stir by saying that Americans should support their newly-elected US President Donald Trump.

Kidman, who has dual citizenship in Australia and the U.S., told BBC 2's Victoria Derbyshire during a TV show that Americans should accept Trump as their new president. The comment drew outrage as well praise for the star in social media.

Later, the actress told another media outlet that her comments were misconstrued. On further probing by the interviewer, she threw up her hands and said she was done commenting on the topic.

"I was trying to stress that I believe in democracy and the American Constitution," Kidman told Access Hollywood. "And it was that simple."
