You do not have to out on a brave face to hide what you feel inside.

Move on after grieving

You may hate all those feelings that accompanied losing your job but after taking your time to confront those emotions, you have to move on according to The Muse. Realize that this event can be an opportunity for you to rediscover your passion and your interests.

Do not take it personally

It is important to remind yourself that being laid off is not a measure of your value as a person and it does not define who you are and what you can do. Stop blaming yourself and instead, establish a better and a more positive approach for your upcoming job search.

Resist the temptation of hiding out at home

With no job in sight, it can be tempting to just stay home and curl up in your bed and stay unproductive. After your mourning period, get up and pull yourself back together. Start moving and find a replacement for the job you just lost. Find connections and explore your network as this may help you land your next job.
