Lee Sung-Kyung, 26, just dashed the hopes of potential suitors. Just recently, the model-turned-actress revealed she is not looking for a romantic relationship right now.

After "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" aired its finale on Jan. 11, Lee sat down for an interview with local media at Cafe Kkumer in Hapjeong-Dong, Seoul, South Korea. There, the actress got real about the surge of emotion that came with the first time she fell for someone.

"I, too, experienced love in an innocent way like Kim Bok Joo," Soompi quoted Lee as saying. She then stated she met her first boyfriend when she was 21-year-old and started dating him a year later.

When it was around three months into their relationship, Lee felt exceptionally comfortable next to him, causing her to tell him the words "I love you" for the first time. Since she did not approach or flirt anyone first, the actress never had a one-sided love nor experienced heartache from her past relationships.

"I don't have a boyfriend right now," Lee revealed. "I have a trait that single people all have. I like spending time alone. It excites me. I feel very happy when I'm at home with the music turned on and I play with my cats while drinking some tea."

While she loves being alone, the "Cheese in the Trap" actress admitted she sometimes get depressed and needs someone to lean on in times of trouble. Still, she does not think that having a boyfriend will fill in that emptiness.

From her personal life, the conversation quickly turned to the actress' thoughts about the coming-of-age sports drama. She said she could not be more fortunate to portray such warm and lovable character on-screen for the last three months.

To effectively portray the titular role, Lee gained five kilograms and went to the gym every morning to practice weightlifting. But, she focused more on acting Kim Bok-Joo's life and emotions so that viewers could submerge themselves into the story better, The Korea Times quoted Lee as saying before the local media.
