With nine episodes, "Prison Break" Season 5 is set to premiere on Fox on April 4. This will mark the reunion of Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell, who are set to reprise their respective roles as Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows.
On Jan. 21, Saturday, a photo of Miller and Purcell was posted on the official page of the show on Facebook. Before "Prison Break" Season 5, the two actors reunited in "Legends of Tomorrow" with Miller as Leonard Snart/Captain Cold and Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave.
Joining Miller and Purcell in the main cast of "Prison Break" Season 5 are Sarah Wayne Callies, Amaury Nolasco, Robert Knepper, Rockmond Dunbar and Paul Adelstein. Their respective characters are Sara Tancredi, Fernando Sucre, Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell, Benjamin Miles "C-Note" Franklin and Paul Kellerman.
There are also 10 recurring cast members. They are Christian Michael Cooper as Michael Scofield Jr., Mark Feuerstein as Jacob Ness, Augustus Prew as Whip, Marina Benedict as A&W, Rick Yune as Ja, Steve Mouzakis as Van Gogh, Inbar Lavi as Sheba, Amin El Gamal as Cyclops, Kunal Sharma as Sid, and Faran Tahir as Jamil.
Callies and Feuerstein attended the Television Critics Association winter press tour with "Prison Break" creator Paul Scheuring on Jan. 11. During the event, Callies was asked when the characters she and Miller play will be reunited.
"At the end of the series, Michael is dead, which happens to all of us on 'Prison Break,'" Deadline quoted Callies as saying. Feuerstein added that in that time while Michael was presumed dead, he stalked her and fell in love with her.
This was also the time Jacob and Sara got married, according to Feuerstein. Unbeknownst to Sara, Michael was alive and "somewhere, tension ensues," the actor added.
Fans can expect a "really tight, close-ended story" from "Prison Break" Season 5, The Wrap quoted Scheuring as saying. Here is a trailer of the upcoming series:
