Kathy Griffin has broken her silence about the weed comment of her co-host Giuliana Rancic on the E! show "Fashion Police" regarding Zendata's hair and she noted that she would never make the joke if she was in Rancic's position.
Griffin was asked by paparazzi if she was under fire and was asked to make the same joke and she pointed out that some dude from the show wrote it for Rancic and she believes her co-host should have not said it.
Accordign to Just Jared, Griffin noted never to let anyone else write jokes for you especially for Rancic, who is always on the red carpet and has the edge because she knows insider gossip. Griffin adds that it's what fans want to hear the next day.
When asked about what advice she could give to Rancic, Griffin answers, "Here's the best I can give you: I will make my Miley Cyrus jokes as long as people want to laugh at them...but there is a chasm of difference between making a joke about Miley Cyrus wearing duct tape over her nipples out in public (which I think is totally fair game) and simply looking at a photo of her on a red carpet and saying she is ugly or a bad singer or pathetic or something like that."
Yahoo News also reported that Griffin did not want the segment called "Whore Score" be part of the show because she thinks that her image in the show business over the years about using certain languages would no longer be appealing to the audience today. She adds that people are not into name-calling and alliteration without any comedic context.
When asked about Kelly Osbourne quitting the show amid the controversial weed comment between Rancic and Zendaya, Griffin shares that she does not know what was the real reason why Osbourne left but she pointed out that she is amazing and they continue to have that great and genuine friendship they have developed over the years.
