Google is set to announce a pair of new smartwatches with the reported launch of Android Wear 2.0 in early February. LG Watch Style will have a $249 price tag, which is cheaper than most first-generation smart watches including the opulent Apple Watch and Samsung Galaxy Gear. The Korean corporation has also allegedly been working on another wrist wearable named LG Watch Sport.

Android Police first reported the price of LG Watch Style. A recent image leak from Evan Blass' Twitter post showed four different angles of the wearable including two from the front as well as two from the back.

Other images of both new LG smartwatches appeared on the web last week. They were, however, very blurry and revealed few details. The new pictures show the same device but seem to be a high-resolution press render.

These ultra-clear pics show Style as a smaller and more feminine watch than Sport. They include a rose gold model (ivory straps) and silver version (beige straps).

The LG Watch Style model will reportedly have a 1.2-inch 360p x 360p display, 512 MB of RAM, and 240mAh battery. Watch Sport will be more full-featured. It will allegedly include a 1.38-inch 480p x 480x display, 768MB of RAM, and 430mAh battery.

The Android Police report states that the Style model could have a higher price point with various add-ons and colors.  They could include bands and casings.

This issue also makes the price of Watch Sport a big question mark. Since it adds long-term evolution (LTE), near field communication (NFC), GPS, heart-rate monitor, and a larger high-res display it might cost about $100 more than Style, according to Android Police. The LG Urbane 2nd Edition had similar tech specs and was priced at $360 on AT&T.

Neither Google nor LG have officially released any details about the price of the Style or Sport models. That could change soon.

Google announced last year Android Wear 2.0 would be a big update to the wearable platform released in 2014. Its original launch was set for 2016. The Alphabet company delayed the launch until the first quarter of this year possibly due to software or hardware issues.

Google has confirmed, however, it will launch the wearable OS sometime in February after recently rolling out the last preview, according to Android Headlines. The rumor mill seems to suggest a Feb. 9 launch, which is less than two weeks away. LG's Watch Style and Watch Sport would be announced then.
