Respawn Entertainment has revealed more details on the "Titanfall 2" upcoming Live Fire mode. They also teased a few details on the upcoming future free DLCs coming out soon.

The game developers revealed on the official blog of the video game about the second DLC, which adds a new mode called the Live Fire mode. The new Live Fire update adds two new maps that will be exclusive to the new mode. They also revealed that they are very happy with how the game is performing right now, but they did not reveal any sales figures for now.

The new mode is a fast-paced round based 6v6 pilot only elimination mode. Players will only have 60 seconds to eliminate the enemy team in each round.

If nobody eliminates the other team completely after a minute, then the team holding the neutral flag will be the winner, regardless of how many players they have lost. The team who knows how and when to pick up the flag will be the one who gets the advantage.

Live Fire mode designer Griffin Dean said in a statement that it was inspired by speedball matches in paintball. The development team wanted to capture the spirit of these lightning-fast competitive matches, and give it a twist with the game's mechanics. Players will have to advance against the enemy, attack aggressively without hesitation, and make fast decisions that can make or break their team's victory.

Dean revealed that the new Live Fire exclusive maps were designed around controlled sight-lines, choke points, and flanking routes. Players will be forced to confront each other and focus on combat, which the maps are designed for. He added that they will have to utilize their abilities and mobility to outplay their opponents.

The Live Fire update will be released sometime in February, and it will be "Titanfall 2's" first DLC for this year. They revealed that they are currently developing and testing new content that they will release over the next few months.

The game developers revealed that there will be new Prime Titans and cosmetics that players can purchase at the store. There will be a large patch coming soon to fix a lot of bugs, make balance tweaks, add new online features, new weapons, new Pilot execution, and many more. They also teased that there will be a return of a classic map called the Colony.

A fan wrote on the official website of Reddit that he is excited about the news of the upcoming release of the Colony map. Some of the other fans are expecting other maps as well like Rise and Wargames to be re-released in "Titanfall 2."
