"This Is Us" star Justin Hartley recently opened up about his character Kevin and Sophie's relationship.
In the previous episode, Kevin ended his relationship with Olivia and Sloane and decided to try his luck with Sophie - the girl he has loved ever since he was a kid.
While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Hartley explained how his character is very lonely that is why he wants to always be surrounded with people. He wants to keep partying to forget his responsibilities and the fact that he is still madly in love with Sophie.
At one point in the previous episode, Kevin had a realization that he already had the ideal girl, but still screwed things up with her. He was even married to Sophie, but their relationship did not last because of his wrongdoings.
When asked if it was indeed Kevin that screwed up his marriage to Sophie, Hartley explained that even good people do bad things. Since he was into show business, Kevin put his career over his personal life and his relationship. Doing so resulted in Kevin losing himself even just for a little bit.
Meanwhile, even though Kevin put Sophie through hell when they were still together, both of them cannot deny that they still have very strong feelings for each other.
Unfortunately, Hartley still does not know every detail about Sophie and Kevin's relationship. It is possible that they have a secret kid together and that Kevin cheated on Sophie. At the end of the day, he will do everything he can to make sure that he can prove to Sophie that he is a different person.
In other news, Kevin still has yet to tell Sloane and Olivia the truth about Sophie. This is another exciting storyline that Hartley cannot wait for. When asked what he thinks their reactions will be, the actor joked that maybe Sloane and Olivia could end up together.
Meanwhile, Milo Ventimiglia just dropped an exciting detail from the finale episode of "This Is Us" Season 1. According to him, everyone would need to cling to their loved ones while watching the episode because it will be a very emotional one.
