Samsung is planning to release another version of the Galaxy S6 after it's launching at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015, the S6 Active version is soon to come out and carried primarily by AT&T.  The slightly different version of the Galaxy S6 smart phone has a more rugged look.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Active will be boasting a better battery performance though most of its features and specifications will be the same as that of the original Galaxy S6 which includes the camera, the processor, and the storage. The Galaxy S6 Active will only be slightly larger in size, CNet reported.

The known specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active will include 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage capacity, a 16-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel front shooter. The smart phone will reportedly have a larger battery compared to the flagship Galaxy S6, boasting a 3,500 mAh unit.  Since its design is to be waterproof, the Galaxy S6 Active will also be dustproof.

Report states that AT&T will be the first to acquire the Galaxy S6 Active. This was not much of a surprise since AT&T was also the first to carry the Galaxy S4 Active and the Galaxy S5 Active. The launching of the said Galaxy S6 Active is not yet clear nor when it is going to be ready for prime time. No exact date has been given out as of today.

The cost of the unit is also left untold when it gets out in the market for retail.  Samsung will be making its announcement soon.
