The developers thanked the fans for funding the video game in less than a week, and surpassing it. They revealed that this is a project that could not get made without the backing of their gaming community. With their support, they have the developers on their way to finish the trilogy.

The developers revealed that this is just the beginning of it all. They are planning for more features in this game that they did not get the chance to put in it.

Stoic revealed the first stretch goal for "Banner Saga 3," according to another post on its official Kickstarter page. Players will be able to play Dredge heroes, which is one of the hotly requested features from the fans. They will be able to deliver this interesting feature if it gets the funding it needs, which is $250,000.

The game developers will implement the ability for players to control of the dredge heroes if it stretch goal is completed. They can order them in battle, and train them through their ranks, which is basically making them dredge party members. They also revealed that players will be able to unlock new abilities and discover new strategies when they place these heroes on the battlefield together with the human, varl, and horseborn allies.

The playable dredge characters will come with three dredge heroes. They will also come with stories of their own, abilities, portraits, and combat animations.

"Banner Saga 3" currently does not have a release date, and it is only listed for PC and Mac for now. The last two games got their PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and mobile device platforms, and it is possible that the third one will get ported there as well.
