"Kingsman: The Golden Circle" is the official sequel to the 2015 espionage-action film, "Kingsman: The Secret Service." Actor Taron Egerton, who plays lead character Eggsy, has recently confirmed that the sequel will feature a deleted scene not used in the first film.

"I think I can say that there's a deleted scene from the first one, that I personally thought shouldn't have been cut, and that's now in the second film," Egerton told Den of Geek. "But what it is, I don't think I can say."

During the interview it is hinted that the deleted scene may focus on the character of Elton John, who was set to appear in the first film. Elton John will be in the sequel but the exact nature of his role is still unknown.

However, the sequel is also bringing back Colin Firth, whose character was killed off in the first movie. There is the possibility that the re-inserted deleted scene will be used to show how Firth's character may have survived, Screen Crush reported.

Firth portrayed Harry Hart aka Galahad, the member of the secret service responsible for recruiting Eggsy into the agency. He was later killed by a gunshot to the head following a violent action sequence in a church. The re-inserted scene may be used as a flashback.

Egerton continued to explain that the sequel is primarily a story developed by director Matthew Vaugn and his constant collaborator, Jane Goldman. Mark Millar, who worked on the original "Kingsman" graphic novels, was stated to have come aboard only as a consultant.

When asked if there was a possibility of a third movie, Egerton stated that the opportunity is there. However, Vaughn would only  agree if the second film succeeded and if the right idea for a third film arises.

Matthew Vaughn is a director who has refused working on sequels due to disagreeing with their direction or story. The director did walk away from directing the sequel to his "X-Men: First Class" and "Kickass" films.

"Kingsman: The Golden Circle" will release in theaters on Oct. 6. The first film's trailer can be viewed below:
