"Grey's Anatomy" Season 14 will no longer feature Jerrika Hinton's character, Dr. Stephanie Edwards.

Just recently, TV Line confirmed the actress' exit from the hit ABC show as a series regular at the end of Season 13. Last year, Hinton also exited the franchise after she was cast in Shonda Rhimes' TV show, "Toast." However, the project did not get picked up by any of the networks.

Hinton then landed a starring role in HBO's upcoming drama series that will follow the lives of a multi-racial family. When the actress was tapped to participate in the show, rumors already speculated that she will be leaving "Grey's Anatomy."

But by the looks of it, no one is really saddened over Hinton's departure from the show. After all, her character has not been given much storylines and exposure since she was first cast in 2012.

One "Grey's Anatomy" fan called Hinton's character the worst character to have ever been introduced in "Grey's Anatomy." Another fan is happy that it is Hinton who will be leaving the series and not Justin Chambers. Another fan called Hinton's character "boring" and said that it is time to get rid of her.

On the other hand, some fans are also upset over the fact that Hinton's acting chops were not given the chance to shine in "Grey's Anatomy." After all, she is just playing a supporting role.

Meanwhile, "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 aired a new episode on Thursday night that finally revealed whether or not Alex (Chambers) will really go to prison. However, Alex's trial was actually postponed indefinitely so no one really knows if he will go to jail.

In episode 11, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) went in search for Alex throughout the entire episode. When she got home from work, Meredith was surprised to see Alex sleeping on her bed. When she asked how he got there, Alex told Meredith that he has been sleeping there for quite some time now.

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
