"NieR: Automata," after receiving a lot of positive feedback after its E3 2016 boss fight footage, gained more popularity after releasing its demo. The game is now confirmed gold, much to the relief of fans.

Square Enix producer Yosuke Saito took to Twitter to announce the good news. The implication of the fact is that "NieR: Automata" has finished development and is ready to be released in Japan on Feb. 23.

The news is certainly good for the original "NieR" fans, as well as the newcomers eager to take their first plunge into the game series. However, according to Saito, as translated by Gematsu, the gold status was made some time after its completion, as he wanted to confirm if it was an on-going trend among game creators.

The confirmation is proof that the game was able to overcome the hurdles it encountered before in its path towards completion. According to Game Rant, the game has suffered an unfortunate delay last year due to unspecified reason, pushing its release date to 2017. The gold status means that development has gone smoothly this time.

"NieR: Automata" is currently regarded to be an impressive gaming experience for the people who bothered downloading its PS4 demo. It is good news for the developers, as they promised last year that they are hoping that "Automata" will redeem the original "NieR" game.

However, the primary problem among fans wanting to play the upcoming game is the fact that it is PS4 exclusive. A PC version release is scheduled for this year, but unlike its PS4 counterpart, it does not have a definite release date right now. Also, an Xbox One port is not yet confirmed, despite the overwhelming speculations about its possibility.

"NieR: Automata" will be released on Feb. 23 in Japan and March 7 in North America for the PS4, with a PC release date to be revealed within this year. Here is the latest trailer for the game:
