Paige and Alberto Del Rio is the wrestling world's oddest couple since going public in May 2016. The couple is also engaged to be married and Del Rio revealed in an interview that the wedding is going to happen in May.

The former WWE superstar told Ariel Helwani in an interview with The MMA Hour that he and Paige are already starting to make plans for their wedding. He noted that they are going to get married in May despite their very busy schedules.

Paige and Del Rio started dating sometime around May 2016 as they were seen together in Disneyland. Pictures of them kissing went viral and many fans speculated if Del Rio is already divorced with his wife, Angele Velkei, who has three children with him.

Many people also frowned upon the relationship because of the age difference between Paige and Del Rio. She just turned 24 years old in September last year while he is already 39 years old. Nevertheless, the couple looks happy on their posts on social media.

Del Rio was also asked by Helwani in the interview regarding the possible return date of Paige from her neck injury. It should be noted that the two-time Divas champion underwent neck surgery in October 2016 and she has been in hiatus from the WWE ever since.

"She's hurt at the moment. She had neck surgery three months ago and is doing physical therapy at the moment. We don't know when she's coming back, hopefully, April, May, June, we don't know," Del Rio said, as transcribed by Fightful.

Paige last appeared on WWE television on June 27 when she teamed up with Sasha Banks to defeat Charlotte and Dana Brooke in an episode of Monday Night Raw. She remained on Raw in the WWE Draft but she never re-appeared on television.

The 24-year-old superstar then announced in August 2016 that she will take her hiatus due to a neck injury. While on hiatus, she violated the WWE's Wellness Policy twice and she got suspended for a total of 90 days.

Nevertheless, the WWE and Paige seem to be on good terms despite the suspensions and tension regarding the departure of Del Rio from the company last year. The Rock and WWE Films are set to produce a movie based on the real-life story of Paige's family, per Deadline.com.
