Crotone is back to its failing ways with two consecutive losses after going on a previous two-game unbeaten run. The team is second from the last spot in the 20-team Italian table at the moment, four points above cellar-dwellers and fellow newly-promoted side Pescara.

The Pitagorici is coming off a 0-2 blanking at the hands of defending champions and current league leaders Juventus also at the Ezio Scida Stadium on Wednesday, as per Goal.

Head coach Davide Nicola's squad was able to hold the star-studded Juve XI to a goalless draw at the end of the first half. However, the Old Lady netted two goals in the second half, courtesy of strikers Mario Mandzukic and Gonzalo Higuaín in the 60th and 74th minutes, which eventually gave the hosts a two-goal defeat.

Meanwhile, Roma bounced back from their previous lackluster performance to crush contending team Fiorentina, 4-0, at their home ground of Stadio Olimpico on Tuesday, Football Italia reported.

Edin Dzeko was the man of the match for head coach Luciano Spalletti as he scored a brace while Federico Fazio and Radja Nainggolan added one goal each to I Giallorossi's four-goal haul.

Dzeko opened the scoring in the 39th minute with a right-footed shot from the center of the box off an assist by Daniele De Rossi with a through ball, giving Roma a one-point advantage at the break.

Fazio then doubled the lead in the 58th minute before Nainggolan made it a 3-0 count in the 75th with his own right-footer, this time with Kevin Strootman providing the assist following a fast break.

Dzeko sealed the win in the 83rd minute as he scored his second goal of the contest, giving Roma their fifth win in the last six rounds of competitions to stay seven points behind Juventus in the overall standings.
