"Girl Meets World" Season 4 was recently axed by Disney Channel, but showrunner Michael Jacobs told TV Line that there is hope for a possible renewal but on a different network.

Unfortunately, Netflix was the first one to confirm that they will not pick up the TV show, but Hulu still has yet to make a final decision on the Rowan Blanchard starrer.

However, it seems that "Girl Meets World" Season 5 will no longer be renewed despite the lack of announcement from Hulu. After all, Blanchard just landed a guest starring role in ABC's "The Goldbergs."

According to Teen Vogue, Blanchard will appear in one episode of "The Goldbergs" Season 4 to play the role of a young girl named Aliza. She is the editor of William Penny Academy's student-run sci-fi/fantasy magazine. This means that she will be interacting closely with the Goldbergs children.

As of late, it is still unclear when exactly Blanchard will appear in the show, but there are rumors that it will take place sometime in the spring. But since the young actress will only be part of "The Goldbergs" in one episode, it is still possible that she will reprise her role as Riley Matthews in "Girl Meets World" Season 5.

Last month, the Disney Channel TV series ended with Topanga (Danielle Fischel) making a tough decision about her career and the life of her husband and daughter. Topanga was offered a job in London, and she was keen on accepting it.

However, when she took her husband and daughter into consideration, she decided to let go of the opportunity so they could stay in their home. Topanga's decision paved the way for the writers to come up with a possible storyline for Season 5 had "Girl Meets World" been renewed.

Unfortunately, Disney Channel made the tough decision to axe the show even before the finale episode aired.

"Girl Meets World" also starred Sabrina Carpenter as Maya, Ben Savage as Cory, Peyton Meyer as Lucas, August Maturo as Auggie, Corey Fogelmanis as Farkle, Tanner Buchanan as Charlie and more.
