Season 3 of "The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series" will be releasing its third episode, entitled "Above the Law" this coming March, as announced by Telltale Games on Thursday, Feb. 9. Although there is no particularity on the date yet, the game developer pronounced the debut of a special disc version of the season prior to the episode launch.

The season 3 retail version will first be released on Feb. 28 in North America for $29.99, while on March 3 in Europe for $24.99, as reported by Polygon. This retail edition will be made available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, comprising of the first two premiere episodes and a special access to download the rest of the three episodes, which are presently not available yet.

"A New Frontier", the subtitle of the current season, centers on the story of Clementine and Javier as they take on their journey in defying the zombie apocalypse and finding Javier's family. Telltale Games describes the upcoming episode, which will arrive later in March, as one with tension stirring from Javier's past, inasmuch as the group is confronted with a shocking revelation when they arrive in Richmond.

"Above the Law" takes on the second chapter of the season, after the first and second episodes ensemble the first chapter titled "Ties that Bind". The latter was released in December 2016 with a cliffhanger conclusion, increasing players' eagerness on the succeeding episodes. According to Telltale Games, the third season "acts as both a new beginning for players fresh to the series and unfamiliar with Clementine, as well as a continuation for players who have experienced seasons 1 and 2."

"The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series" has been receiving multiple awards from the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) and over 100 "Game of the Year" recognitions, as reported by The Market for Computer and Video Games (MCV) UK News. It has sold more than 50 million episodes worldwide as of today.
