The latest casting rumor about the next X-Men movie, "New Mutants" could feature another actress from "Game of Thrones."

This rumor has been raised nearly a year ago from Hit Fix as they stated: "Maisie Williams is attached now as Wolfsbane, better known as Rahne Sinclair. She"s a shape-shifter, a wee Scottish werewolf, and her immersion into the world of Xavier"s school was part of what hooked me on the series originally."

In the X-Men canon, the New Mutants were younger recruits that formed a separate team from the X-Men. Now that "X-Men: Apocalypse" has rebooted and recast the X-Men again which included GOT actress Sophie Turner, they need to add younger actors for New Mutants. What better addition than the younger Stark sister?

But Fox seems to have an eye for breakthrough young actresses as they have also added another rising name.

"It appears that Anya Taylor-Joy, who made such an impression on audiences in The Witch, also made an impression on producers Simon Kinberg and Lauren Shuler-Donner, as she"ll be stepping up to play Illya Rasputin, aka Magik. That"s a great role, and it makes me laugh that you can almost read The Witch as a prequel at that point."

These rumors remain unconfirmed although it was already confirmed that the "New Mutants" is under production already. However, a tweet from Josh Boone, the director of the film may have confirmed it. Comic Book Movie notes:

"Last night, Daniel(sic) Boone, the director of the upcoming 'X-Men: The New Mutants' tweeted Ashley Guillory's illustration of Williams as Wolfsbane/Rahne Sinclair - a Scottish mutant that can transform into a wolf and is a member of the aforementioned superhero team - and as you can see, he tagged Maisie's official Twitter account."

It should be noted that 20th Century Fox has issued a denial on the Maisie Williams casting last April and there has not been any confirmation ever since. Williams even responded:

"I can't say much about it at all, but I would absolutely love to be a part of it, [and] to be a part of the Marvel family," Williams stated. "New Mutants looks absolutely incredible and I've always loved the idea of spin-offs and [director] Joshua Boone is incredibly talented. So, yeah, sign me up."

Perhaps with this tweet, the casting is now confirmed even before Fox makes it official.
