Despite players using "Overwatch" cheats and guides, Blizzard insists that the drop rate in loot boxes has not been changed. As such, the most desirable items in the game still have the same drop rate.

The rumored drop rate change was first seen on the recent Lunar New Year event, as a number of players found themselves lacking of any new skins. Players then started wondering if the drop rates for rare skins are lowered.

In response, "Overwatch" director Jeff Kaplan posted in on the official Blizzard Forums to reassure players that nothing has changed. He explicitly said that the drop rates for the Summer Games, Halloween Terror, Winter Wonderland, and Year of the Rooster events are consistently the same.

The loot box drop rate change is a pretty new problem to "Overwatch," however, since the Winter Wonderland event had a different problem on its own. According to Game Spot, players complained about the quality of the higher-rarity skins in the event, such as the controversial Mei skin.

The Mei skin during the said event was Legendary, considered to be the highest rarity level for skins. However, fans complained that it was not worthy of the designation, prompting Kaplan to apologize for the disappointment, and assures everyone that Blizzard will take the players' feedback into serious consideration.

Right now, Blizzard has yet to announce the next big update for "Overwatch." After all, the Lunar New Year event just wrapped up, and with this the only things introduced in the test servers include some important balance changes, custom games, and a server browser.

As for new content, rumors still abound that Doomfist will become the next playable character for the game. Hollywood star Terry Crews is still doing his utmost to get the job as his voice actor, but without any confirmation, players can only hope at this point.

"Overwatch" is available for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Here is the latest video for the game:
