New "Shaman King" episodes have long been awaited by anime fans. However, the much-anticipated anime reboot may not proceed unless anime studio will give in to the demand of the anime creator.

The manga of Hiroyuki Takei in 1998, which was later on adapted into an anime in 2001, is one of the highly sought anime comeback this decade. However, the reboot of the anime is hindered by one of the demands laid by Takei. The series creator required that the original voice actors and music must be used in the planned anime return, according to Comic Book.

Although Takei himself recognizes the significance of another shot to a "Shaman King" anime, he still insisted on declining and standing firm to his request. Such request of Takei has been considered as normal by the people who know him. He has been naturally close to the voice actors and the people behind the anime.

Takei played some parts in between the anime and the production of the manga. Aside from that, he has also been known to have a close relationship with one of the voice actors, Megumi Hayashibara who voiced the main heroine Anna Kyoyama, according to Crunchyroll.

The said news of a delay has been taken seriously by some loyal fans, paving ways for comments to be expressed online. It is understandable for the work of Takei has been recognized as one of the best during his time. His manga has been ranked as one of the best-selling in Japan, while the anime was ranked 47th in a top 100 web poll.

For those who have forgotten the storyline of both the manga and anime, it speaks of individuals wanting to be the "Shaman King." The story follows Yoh Asakura and his friends as they prepare for the great giant Shaman Fight.
