The attention right now is on the release of the iPhone 8 though some are also awaiting iOS 11. With iOS 10 far from perfect, Apple owners want to see what big changes the next mobile operating system will have to offer.

It is believed that iOS 11 will be released on June 5. This will happen at Apple’s Worldwide Development Conference where other operating systems of the Cupertino company will also be revealed. This would include the next macOS, watchOS, and tvOS. The official release of the new batch of operating systems will follow in late 2017, Apple Insider reported.

Among the features that iOS 11 will reportedly see Siri hold better control of a person’s Apple device and the ones connected. Folks can expect better interaction with the Apple AI as well as an improved interface using Apple Pay. This means that Apple device owners can send cash directly through iMessages using a secure payment platform.

Speaking of connected devices, it remains to be seen what devices can be connected using iOS 11. The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are expected to be compatible, not to mention the iPad Pro models. As far as older iPhones, it could be good up to the iPhone 6 and 6s.

With the release of iOS 11 still a long way off, all Apple users can do right now is wait and console themselves with iOS 10.2.1. The correction operating system was released recently with an iOS 10.3 update reportedly looming over the horizon, Gotta Be Mobile reported.

There are some currently apprehensive of upgrading to iOS 10.2.1 with new problems reportedly occurring. This includes issues involving the TouchID, display and Bluetooth connectivity.

As far as iOS 10.3 is concerned, the said operating system is in the first beta. Among the new features, it will bring include “Find my Airpods”, a tweaked weather app tied up to 3D touch and quicker access to recently used apps such as CarPlay.

While iOS 10.2.1 is looming to be buggy, most may want to still upgrade. Features may be problematic but the security patches and fixes are still important. There is also, of course, the fact that Apple has already stopped signing iOS 10.2.
