Following the Geekbench listing, the Gionee A1 smartphone will be armed with MediaTek MT6755V/C octa-core processor clocked at 1.9 GHz, which will also power HTC's upcoming One X10 mid-range smartphone.

Android Geeks reported that the octa-core chipset will be equipped with a 4GB of RAM for heavy workflows and impressive multitasking performance. The Geekbench listing further revealed the performance tests for the Gionee A1, wherein the said smartphone marked 699 points in the single-core test while it scored 2602 points in the multi-core tests.

Based on previous leaks, the Gionee A1 smartphone will sport a 5.5-inch display with 1080 x 1920 Full HD resolution, resulting to a pixel density of 403 pixels per inch, The Mobile Indian reported. It also features a 2.5D curved glass display with Gorilla Glass protection.

Its internal storage will offer a 64GB of onboard memory, which may be further expanded via a microSD card slot. However, the A1 is expected to come with a Hybrid Dual SIM slot, so users can use a microSD card only if they can live with a single SIM slot.

On the camera front, the Gionee A1 will still stay with its selfie-centric camera sensor that became its selling point. It will feature a 13-megapixel primary rear camera with PDAF, while a high-end 16-megapixel front-snapper will sit up front. Both the camera sensors will come with a LED flashlight.

In addition, the Gionee A1 will also house a fingerprint scanner that will be mounted at the rear panel. A hefty 4010mAh battery capacity will let its light running for days, which is even improved through its 18W fast charger.

On the software front, the Gionee A1 carry the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out-of-the-box, with the company's Amigo OS 3.6 layered on top of it. Its connectivity options will include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 ac/a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, a microUSB port.

The key specs and features for the A1 Plus were not yet revealed online, although customer should expect similar specs to the A1 smartphone, accompanied with a larger display and extra features.
