The statement goes further to narrate Paxton's career in Hollywood, starting with the art department to develop his illustrious career for 40 years as a prolific actor and filmmaker. With his death, his family only wishes more privacy in mourning for their loss.

After the news of Paxton's death, social media became abuzz with tributes to the actors. Some of these include actor Rob Lowe, who took to Twitter to say that Paxton was a dear friend and his sudden passing has left him devastated. He even went so far as to say that Paxton is one of the finest actors in the business.

It is not an understatement, since Paxton has more than 90 acting credits as well as film directing experience. Screenwriter Brian Lynch also Twitted that Paxton was great in everything, a highlight of the movies he was in, and that as a director, he was underrated.

Aside from film acting and directing, Bill Paxton is also one of the luminaries on the television industry. This is especially true during the last decade, as the actor played the role of Bill Hendrickson on the HBO series "Big Love." His portrayal of a Utah polygamist family patriarch from 2006 to 2011 gave him three Golden Globe nominations.

Paxton's last TV series is "Training Day," and while his death came in the middle of the first season, the entire season's episodes were already completed back in December. However, it is uncertain how the series will continue on without the actor's character, detective Frank Rourke. After all, according to the New York Times, CBS and Warner Bros. Television offered no other statement about the show's future, only that they are shocked and deeply saddened by the actor's death.
