"The Heirs' co-stars Lee Min Ho, 29, and Park Shin Hye and are the top South Korean actors of today. This is according to the United States-based fans of the Korean Wave who participated in a survey.

The survey was conducted by the Korea Creative Content Agency, The Strait Times has learned. Around 4,700 fans voted Lee and Park as their favorite South Korean actors.

With Park as the top actress, Gong Hyo Jin, 36, and Lee Ji Eun, who is professionally known as IU, were the runners-up. In 2016, Gong starred in "Jealousy Incarnate" while IU starred in "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo."

Hyo Jin and IU co-starred in "The Producers" in 2015. Their co-stars in the KBS2 sitcom were Kim Soo Hyun and Cha Tae Hyun.

Park starred in "Entertainer," "Doctor Crush" and "Gogh, The Starry Night" in 2016. Recently, she finished filming for a new film tentatively titled "Silence," Soompi has learned.

In the male category, Lee Joon Gi, 34, and Lee Jong Suk, 27, were the runners-up. In 2016, Joon Gi co-starred with IU in "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" while Jong Suk starred in "W," "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo" and "First Seven Kisses" and co-starred with Park in "Gogh, The Starry Night."

Jong Suk is set to star in "While You Were Sleeping" opposite Min Ho's girlfriend, K-Pop girl group miss A member Suzy, 22. The story of the upcoming SBS series revolves around a woman (Suzy) who can see unfortunate events in her dreams and Jae Chan (Jong Suk), a prosecutor who tries to prevent her dreams from coming true.

After starring with Park in "The Heirs" in 2013, Min Ho made a TV comeback in 2016 with "The Legend of the Blue Sea." In the SBS series, he played a noble man who was saved by a mermaid (Jun Ji Hyun) from drowning.
