John Carney is not about to make a "Begin Again" sequel and Sandara Park, 32, who is professionally known as Dara, and Maroon 5's Adam Levine, 37, are not co-starring in a film. However, the former K-Pop girl group 2NE1 member is set to star in a Korean remake of "Begin Again."

Written and directed by Carney, "Begin Again" was released on July 11, 2014. It starred Levine, Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo.

In "Begin Again," Levine played a successful musician named Dave Kohl while Knightley played Dave's former girlfriend Gretta James, a songwriter. Ruffalo played a music producer named Dan Mulligan who tried to convince Gretta to record an album.

"Begin Again" marks Levine's first film role. The Maroon 5 frontman refused to be paid for appearing in the film.

"I did this movie for no money," Levine told USA Today. "I'm very lucky that I'm in that position."

Levine is currently one of the four coaches of "The Voice" Season 12. He appears to be focusing on his career as a musician and a song collaboration with Dara seems more likely than a film starring the two in the cast together.

The Korean remake of "Begin Again" is titled "One Step," Dara will play Si-hyun, a singer who loses her memory, sees sounds in color and sings an incomplete melody in her sleep after a car accident.

Directed by Juhn Jai-Hong, "One Step" is is set to hit theaters in April. Starring with Dara is Cho Dong In, who will play Jee Il, a failed songwriter who will help Si-hyun regain her memories and complete the song in her mind.

"One Step" marks Dara's first film lead role and first major project after 2NE1 disbanded. The film was completed through crowdfunding efforts via Open Trade.
