New Zealand's "X-Factor" judges Natalia Kills and Willy Moon have been fired after bullying a contestant in live television.

The contestant, Joe Irvine, received a series of unnecessary criticisms from Kills after his performance of "Cry Me A River."

"From the hair to the suit, do you not have any value or respect for originality?" Kills told Irvine referring to his looks that she accused to be ripped off her husband Moon.

"I am embarrassed to be sitting here in your presence even having to dignify you with an answer of my opinion," Kills added.

"Cheap and absurd," Moon added.

The husband and wife continued attacking the contestant despite the booing chants of the crowd.

Because of the unexpected poor behavior, X-Factor News reported that Mediaworks CEO Mark Weldon, who was disappointed with the actions of the couple, ordered the termination of the couple on the show.

"We no longer have confidence that Kills and Moon are the right people to perform the role of The X Factor judges, and they will leave the show, effective immediately," said Weldon.

Mediaworks' decision to take out the couple was welcomed by Human Rights Commission.

"Bullying is not acceptable," said Human Rights Commisioner Dame Susan Devoy, who was glad with the media company's decision to stand up against bullying.

Co-judges Stan Walker and Melanie Blatt supported the decision regarding the unwanted incident, Stuff reported.

Two new "X-Factor" judges will be announced before the show airs next week.

The "X-Factor" of New Zealand airs every Sunday (7PM) and Monday (7:30PM) at TV3.
