Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have long been rumored to be dating. A new report claims that the two stars have been "secretly dating" for more than a year.
"Jamie and Katie are friends and have been for a long time. They are two adults who are attractive and single, and so apparently conclusions will be drawn," a source told People.
The source added that what Holmes and Foxx share is "not some intense romance."
Despite the statement that Holmes and Foxx are not in a serious relationship, the insider shared that Tom Cruise's ex-wife is often seen visiting Foxx in a nearby home ever since Holmes moved into her new Los Angeles home.
Why are Holmes and Foxx hiding their relationship from the public?
According to Daily Mail, it might be because of the fact that Foxx just simply cannot make a move on Holmes. The outlet cited that Foxx is friends with Tom Cruise and respects him and his past relationship with Holmes.
Foxx and Cruise previously worked on the 2004 movie "Collateral" together, for which Foxx had high praises for the actor.
Cruise, on the other hand, also spoke highly about Foxx at the MTV Movie Awards in 2013.
Dating rumors between Holmes and Foxx started after the two were seen getting cozy together while dancing at a benefit party in New York in Aug. 2013.
Foxx dismissed the rumors in an interview and said that he found the rumor hilarious, especially on how people can immediately draw a conclusion from just one event.
Holmes also revealed to People magazine that she still believes in love despite her failed marriage with Cruise, which ended in 2012. She said that she is still entertaining the thought of finding love and getting in love with another man.
Holmes and Foxx have yet to comment on the issue.
