The new K-pop girl band HOT ISSUE has made an announcement today that henceforth their fans will be known as SURE.

The official name for the fan club SURE stands for Surely U(Yours), Refulgently Ever. The name is a description of how HOT ISSUE will be together with their fans forever. The group announced the name on their official Twitter account on September 27.

The Twitter message said, "Happy birthday! Happy birthday to our lovely SURE. From now on, let's go with HOT ISSUE under the name SURE. Let's go forever!", as translated by a report in Soompi.

The name HOT ISSUE is an acronym for Honest, Outstanding, and Terrific, expressing the girls' strong ambition for creating honest and great issues in the South Korean music industry.

The South Korean girl band consists of seven members, namely Dain, Yebin, Yewon, Dana, Hyeongshin, Nahyun, and Mayna. The group made their debut with an extended play recorded, "Issue Maker" and the title track "GRATATA" on April 28, 2021. The first release made a strong impact in the K-pop music industry and highlighted the combined personality of the individual members. The project also featured four other songs, "We Go", "Purple", "Hide In The Dark", and "Dunga Dunga".

The septet is the first K-pop group that is formed by the recently established S2 Entertainment agency. Hong Seung-sung created the agency in early 2020 after leaving CUBE Entertainment, which he co-founded and where he served as the Chairman.

Before their debut as HOT ISSUE, some of the members of the band made appearances in reality idol competitions and programs. Members Hyeongshin and Dain have competed on "Cap-Teen" where the former ranked seventh in the final episode. Another member Mayna, who is of Chinese origin, appeared on "Produce 101 China" in 2018. Dana is a former child actress who has starred in two dramas.

The rookie K-pop girl group will be making their first-ever comeback with their first-ever single album "ICONS" on September 29, as announced by them earlier this month. The announcement was made along with a watercolor-themed graphic that revealed the title and release-related details of the album.

In a new teaser, the new K-pop group members can be seen dressed in trendy looks. The band had previously unveiled a highlight medley and also individual teasers in batches. The group started to reveal the ICONS films, music video teasers, highlight medley, and concept photos from September 14 onward for the promotion of the album.
