Jennie, the third member from K-pop supergroup BLACKPINK to attend the 2021 Paris Fashion Week, trended on social media and online communities with her appearance at Chanel's Spring 2022 Fashion Show today. The singer is the global ambassador for the French luxury fashion house.

Dressed in a tweed two-piece chic outfit comprising a red boucle crop top and a pearl-decorated mini skirt, Jennie attracted massive attention as she took her place at a front-row seat at the show. The superstar's ensemble also included a stylish Chanel cross-body sling bag and trademark Chanel jewelry.

The look had the 80s and 90s era vibe, which went with the vintage-inspired pieces on the runway that ws the fashion house's homage to those decades.

The singer was also seen posing with Hollywood actress Kristen Stewart and Lily-Rose Depp at the show.

The K-pop artist's appearance at the show trended the tagline "Jennie Face of Chanel" and the hashtag "#JENNIEChanelPFW" worldwide, with more than one million tweets.

Ahead of the show, Chanel released an official teaser video clip and promotional content on their Instagram that saw Jennie behind the lens and in the director's chair. In the video, the K-pop star, who was just named the face of Chanel's new Coco Neige collection, wore a knit set comprising a bralette, mini shorts, and a short-sleeve cardigan. The get-up was completely different from what Jennie channeled later for her appearance at the runway show.

The French luxury giant stated that the K-pop singer embraced the role of both fashion muse and photographer in cinematic black and white to give the first sneak peek into the CHANEL Spring-Summer 2022 Ready-to-Wear collection, which has been designed by Virginie Viard. The luxury house also said that film of the show would be revealed on October 5 from 3 PM Paris time.

Before the event, the guests at the show were treated to a video clip shot by Inez & Vinoodh where Jennie was seen as a make-up artist doing touches to a model's look, along with other brand ambassadors of Chanel, namely Lily-Rose Depp and Quannah Chasinghorse, who were all dressed in the latest collection.

It has been a Blackpink takeover at the Paris Fashion Week this year, with Rose upping the ante at Yves Saint Laurent's show as their global ambassador and Jisoo delivering glamor at the Christian Dior show. The latter was also seen in the Atelier and Heritage video by Dior. Now, Jennie has taken the fashion baton forward. Blackpink is the only K-pop group that has all four members representing different French Luxury giant brands.
