On Oct. 27, Wednesday, the TV star shared on her Instagram page that she is celebrating two milestones for yesterday, and that is her 37th birthday AND her 5th month in staying sober, which was a tough journey for her. She posted a selfie whilst holding a delicious cake that says Happy Birthday! With strawberries to boot, plus a screen capture, a picture of her 12-step journey to affirm the length of her adventure to being alcohol-free!
There are also quite a few celebrities who were showing and sharing support and congratulatory messages for her enduring journey, one of them was Jeff Beacher, the Producer and host of Beacher's Madhouse, who said, "HAPPY BDAY and, Lala Milan who said, "Yessss now we gotta take a bike ride to celebrate" and even the guitarist of the rock band INCUBUS, mike einziger greeted her with " happy birthday Lil sis @kellyosbourne love you.
During the Spring season, Kelly, the daughter of Superstars Sharon Osbourne and Ozzy Osbourne, relapsed for a short time after almost four years of being sober. She said she wasn't proud of it but assured her followers that she was back on track and that the reason for her going back to alcoholism was because of her anxiety.
In an interview during a Red Table Talk appearance in June, she knows that she is an addict. She thinks she has enough mental strength to control her urges and drinks like an average person. However, it turned out to become the latter, and it took all of her to stop and say she's not doing it anymore, that it was enough
She also said that she felt insecure, most especially when her father was with her, who was a weighty drinker, which led to her decision to start drinking alcohol at an early age of 13,
with an added feeling of being an alien in a foreign country, people who do not or barely understand what she was saying, she felt like she was alone in a whole new world and therefore only thought that alcohol was the best way to get rid of anything and everything else that was making her uncomfortable.
She also said in an inter that It is something that she is going to fight for the rest of her life. She also said she wanted to come clean to her followers to make up for her actions.
