South Korean singer-songwriter and actor Park Yoo Chun, a former member of K-pop groups TVXQ and JYJ, has been banned from making TV appearances and continuing any entertainment industry-related activities. 

The legal representatives of Park Yoo Chun's management company, Yesperar Co. Ltd, said that an injunction was made to the Seoul Central District Court for banning the entertainer from making appearances on TV shows and continuing activities in the entertainment industry. The court decided to cite the application on November 10.

Furthermore, the court rejected all of the celebrity's defenses and took the decision that he should not be involved in any entertainment industry activities such as appearing on TV or producing videos, albums, or any promotions, etc.

The management company's attorney added that he would like to thank the court for judging wisely. The legal representatives will be trying to resolve the issue only within legal means and avoid acts such as groundless defamation or malicious slander in the case that will take place in the future.

Yesperar holds the management right for Park Yoo Chun until the end of 2024. Re:Cielo, who held the management for the entertainer before, filed a lawsuit against him in August this year for violating his contract, signing a double contract with a Japanese agency, and spreading false information of money embezzlement against the that the CEO of Re:Cielo.

Park Yoo Chun found himself in troubled waters after being indicted for taking methamphetamine in 2019 along with his ex-girlfriend Hwang Ha Na back. Consequently, he got a sentence of 10 months prison imprisonment with two-year probation during the first trial in July of 2019.

The entertainer was embroiled in controversy even before that when he was accused of sexual assault by four different women between 2016-17. Meanwhile, Park Yoo Chun's younger brother Park Yoo Hwan was taken into custody last week for allegedly smoking marijuana.

Netizens started a thread on an online community recently discussing how the two brothers are causing much commotion and trouble. The thread is rife with comments such as how everyone feels bad for the parents and that they must be sad because both kids are committing drug crimes etc, and how both brothers are bad.

Amid all the controversies and scandals, and in a case of bad timing, Park Yoo Chun put out his mini-album "Da Capo", which he has self-produced, on November 5.
