K-pop super idols BTS did not fail to impress as usual with their impeccable sartorial style at the 2021 American Music Awards, which were held on Sunday. The boys looked their dapper best both on the red carpet and on stage during their performance of the song "Butter".

The Bangtan Boys coordinated their attires, which were in shades of grey and black. The septet wore timeless suits from French Luxury giant Louis Vuitton's Spring-Summer 2022 collection.

In the past year, fans and avid fashion watchers have noticed the boys adapt to a more minimal and clean look, which was also noticed during their appearance at Seoul's Incheon Airport last week, when they were taking a flight to Los Angeles.

The band members J-Hope, RM, Suga, Jin, Jimin, V, and Jungkook looked classy and sleek on the 2021 AMA red carpet. Interestingly, fans quickly noticed that the boys were paying an ode to Korean culture with an interesting addition to their boxy Louis Vuitton pantsuits. The members wore a Hanbok-style tie accessory at the waist of their blazers. The Korean Hanbok is immediately recognized by its knotted shape and long tails.

Some of the BTS members teamed the outfits with dressy loafers, while others went with comfortable chunky sneakers. J-Hope and Jimin added some color to their sleek pantsuit in the form of blue and pink shirts beneath, while the rest of the Bangtan Boys kept it classic with black or white shirts.

During the performance of their superhit song "Butter", the K-pop idols wore buttery yellow outfits, which went well with the title of the song.

Incidentally, the boys were originally supposed to perform "Butter" with Megan Thee Stallion, who had collaborated on the song. However, the singer pulled out of the appearance at the last minute on Sunday citing the reason as an unexpected personal matter.

BTS also teamed up with Coldplay for a performance of their collaborative song "My Universe". BTS's performance at the award ceremony was also a long-awaited one as it was their first live act since 2020.

The night was not only a sartorial success for BTS but also a momentous one. The group created history by becoming the first Asian group to win the "Artist of the Year" award at the ceremony. The band bagged all three awards for the categories in which they received a nomination, which included "Favorite Pop Song" for "Butter" and "Favorite Pop Duo or Group".
