Joseph Jang, head of Kakao Entertainment America, expressed enthusiasm about IVE's global foray with Columbia Records and the company's plans to enhance the international presence of its other artists. Jang highlighted the significance of partnering with a prominent label like Columbia Records and the company's ambition to grow Kakao Entertainment's music business worldwide.

Jang said, "With Columbia Records, a business with a long history in pop music, we're excited to begin IVE's voyage to the global music scene. For us, this partnership holds a momentous meaning."

Kakao Entertainment America will be the central hub for supporting its artists' global tours, promotions, and album releases, with a focus on collaboration with leading international entertainment companies. Jang added, "We look forward to boosting Kakao Entertainment's music business globally by enhancing the production and distribution capacities of our music, as well as our artists in North America."

IVE, a fourth-generation K-pop girl group, debuted under Starship Entertainment on December 1, 2021. Within just a week of their debut, they had already claimed their first music show award, making them the fastest girl group to achieve this milestone. Their growing popularity has garnered attention from the advertising and broadcasting industries, with IVE ranking No. 4 on Good Data Corporation's list of buzz-worthy groups. IVE's member Jang Wonyoung also topped the list as the most popular idol.

As IVE prepares for their spring comeback, their newfound partnership with Columbia Records is expected to propel their fame even further on the global stage.
