K-pop group FIFTY FIFTY continues to face strife amidst a series of controversies.

On the 27th, Attrakt, FIFTY FIFTY's agency, made a statement via their official social media saying, "This afternoon, we are announcing matters related to the closure of FIFTY FIFTY's official fan club. The closure was not carried out by us."

Earlier that day, a post surfaced on FIFTY FIFTY's official fan club page, igniting confusion. The post was a poll asking members if they agreed with closing the club, an automatic feature that appears when an attempt is made to close a fanclub with a specific number of members.

Attrakt clarified that "the post was uploaded due to unauthorized account hijacking by external forces. The official fan club account has been restored, and measures are being taken to ensure smooth fanclub operations and prevent recurrence. We apologize for causing confusion."

Previously, Attrakt accused external forces of attempting to poach the group's members, pinpointing a subcontractor and Warner Music Korea as the culprits. They also captured evidence of the subcontractor approaching Warner Music Korea with a proposition to buy FIFTY FIFTY. Attract had sent a certificate of contents to Warner Music Korea.

However, Warner Music Korea denied the allegations, expressing regret over Attract's baseless claims and their receipt of the certificate.

Amidst this turmoil, Attrakt has officially filed a complaint against Sung-il An, the CEO of The Givers, and three others. The Givers, a company responsible for planning idol debut projects and managing music IPs, had been contracted by Attract to produce FIFTY FIFTY.

Attrakt claims that "The Givers, who were contracted to manage the project and carry out tasks, hindered the transition of work and deleted company email accounts and project-related data, committing obstruction of business, destruction of electronic records, fraud, and breach of trust."

They added, "The Givers secretly purchased the copyright for the song 'CUPID' from a foreign composer without providing any information to Attract about the copyright purchase." An Attract representative also hinted, "There are other serious suspicions that may lead to additional lawsuits."

FIFTY FIFTY debuted in the music scene with 'THE FIFTY' in November last year. They achieved great success with their first single 'Cupid', which stayed on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for 13 consecutive weeks, earning them the title 'miracle of a small and medium-sized agency'. However, as they face these controversies less than a year after debut, all eyes are on how they will navigate through these crises.
